Album Notes & Community Reviews

A monolithic work of frozen atmospheric black metal, 'Das Tor' finds Paysage d'Hiver delivering some of Wintherr's most immersive and punishing soundscapes. The album consists of four long, lo-fi tracks that simulate the experience of being lost in a blizzard, blending howling distortion with ghostly ambient textures. It is a definitive document of the Swiss underground, prioritizing atmosphere and elemental power over traditional structure.
