Album Notes & Community Reviews

'Ask Me Now!' presents clarinetist Pee Wee Russell in a late-career context that connects early jazz sensibilities with modern repertoire and performance practice. His individual tone and phrasing give the standards material a reflective quality distinct from both revivalist dixieland and contemporary post-bop approaches.
