Album Notes & Community Reviews

The legendary avant-garde rock ensemble delivers a remarkably dense, highly cinematic album partially inspired by the 1962 horror film of the same name. 'Carnival of Souls' flawlessly integrates highly erratic analog synthesizer noise, driving post-punk rhythms, and David Thomas's signature, wildly eccentric vocal performances. The record serves as a profoundly dark, wonderfully strange, and deeply experimental late-career highlight.
