Album Notes & Community Reviews

Despite its deliberately provocative title referencing Jim Thompson's pulp fiction, the album continues the avant-garage pioneers' legacy of off-kilter, challenging post-punk. Driven by David Thomas's unmistakable vocal squawk and abrasive, synth-punk-influenced instrumentation, it serves as a typically idiosyncratic and uncompromising artistic statement.
