The duo's eleventh studio album is one of their most reflective, somber, and beautifully orchestrated works. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Andrew Dawson, 'Elysium' finds Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe contemplating aging and mortality with a rich, warm, and often melancholic synth-pop sound. It was their final album for their longtime label Parlophone, serving as a graceful and introspective closing chapter.
