Love Songs for Friends and Foes

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembling a remarkably diverse collection of traditional ballads and politically charged original compositions, the tireless folk archivist continues his mission of widespread musical education. Backed primarily by his own driving, highly rhythmic banjo playing, his warm, authoritative vocal delivery effectively bridges historical American folklore with pressing contemporary social issues. The essential release served as a critical handbook for the rapidly expanding collegiate folk revival.
