Album Notes & Community Reviews

The former Buzzcocks frontman continues his successful foray into electronic dance music, heavily guided by the sleek production of Martin Rushent. 'XL1' pairs driving, sequencer-heavy synth-pop grooves with Shelley's trademark romantic yearning and melodic sensibility. The album notably featured a computer program encoded on the vinyl run-out groove that displayed lyrics on a ZX Spectrum.
