Album Notes & Community Reviews

Marking the inaugural recordings of the massive avant-garde ensemble, this collection documents their fiery birth across three discs of chaotic group improvisation. Bringing together legends of the European free jazz scene with the emerging Chicago underground, the colossal lineup includes Ken Vandermark, Mats Gustafsson, and Hamid Drake. It is an overwhelming, seminal document of transnational free jazz collaboration.
