Album Notes & Community Reviews
Tasked with following up one of the best-selling live albums in history, Peter Frampton rushed the production of 'I'm in You' at Electric Lady Studios. The record pivots sharply toward slick, heavily orchestrated pop-rock and sentimental ballads, moving away from his guitar-hero persona. Despite achieving massive initial sales and platinum certification, it suffered critically from its perceived commercial calculation and stylistic softening.
