Patience

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Featuring significant contributions from his former Van der Graaf Generator bandmates, this dense and highly kinetic solo effort brilliantly fuses complex progressive structures with biting post-punk intensity. 'Patience' highlights the vocalist's characteristically dramatic, fiercely intellectual lyricism, driven by abrasive guitar textures and rigid, occasionally synthesized percussion. The record effectively bridges the gap between his 1970s progressive rock grandeur and the anxious new wave aesthetic of the era.
