Album Notes & Community Reviews

A profoundly meditative, early excursion into what would later be termed New Age and ambient music, the German composer utilizes prepared piano, synthesizers, and tape delay to create vast, hypnotic soundscapes. Deeply influenced by Eastern spiritual traditions and Indian classical music, the highly repetitive, slowly shifting drones eschew traditional Western harmonic structures. The recording is a vital, historically significant artifact of the European minimalist avant-garde.
