Album Notes & Community Reviews

Shedding the remaining overt gothic trappings of Bauhaus, Peter Murphy fully embraced dramatic alternative pop on this tremendously successful solo effort. 'Deep' balances elegant, soaring guitar-rock with moody, danceable rhythms, propelled entirely by Murphy's booming, theatrical baritone. The massive crossover hit 'Cuts You Up' remains a quintessential anthem of early 90s college radio.
