How the West Was Won

Album Notes & Community Reviews

This critically acclaimed solo debut marks a miraculous return for the former Only Ones frontman after decades largely lost to severe substance abuse. The tracking is anchored by his distinctively languid, nasal vocal drawl, supported by tight, classic rock and roll instrumentation performed primarily by his own sons. The lyricism provides a wry, romantic, and unflinchingly honest reflection on survival, addiction, and enduring love.
