Album Notes & Community Reviews
The only solo album released in Phife Dawg's lifetime, 'Ventilation: Da LP' transfers his A Tribe Called Quest cadence to boom bap production by Jay Dee, Pete Rock, Hi-Tek and Rick Rock. Its introspective, playful lyricism rides sample-built grooves on the singles 'Bend Ova' and 'Flawless', a late document of New York underground rap at the end of the boom bap era.
