Album Notes & Community Reviews

Pitting two fierce, Parker-influenced alto saxophonists against one another, 'Phil and Quill' thrives on intense, competitive fire. The rapid-fire unison lines and explosive trade-offs highlight the aggressive, unsentimental nature of New York's mid-century modern jazz circuit.
