A monolithic entry in the minimalist canon, this double album features compositions built entirely from multi-tracked recordings of musicians playing continuous, sustained microtonal pitches. The incredibly dense, slow-moving pieces induce physical auditory illusions and require deep, active listening to perceive the shifting overtones.
