Album Notes & Community Reviews

Arriving four years after their acclaimed debut, the Danish death metal outfit delivers a masterfully dark and cavernous sophomore record. 'Chimaera' relies on suffocating, tremolo-picked riffs and deep, guttural vocals to create an overwhelmingly apocalyptic atmosphere deeply rooted in the aesthetics of the modern 'New Wave of Old School Death Metal' movement. It firmly established Phrenelith as a leading force within the European extreme metal underground.
