Album Notes & Community Reviews

Documented by folklorist Paul Clayton, 'Vol. 2: Medicine Show Man' preserves the authentic sound of the traveling medicine shows that defined Southern rural entertainment in the early 20th century. Pink Anderson's dextrous Piedmont blues picking and relaxed, conversational vocal style offer a direct link to a bygone musical tradition. His legacy would soon be immortalized in the namesake of the band Pink Floyd.
