Hello

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Seamlessly blending the introspective angst of 90s alternative rock with the heavy, sample-driven breakbeats of trip hop, Poe's debut 'Hello' was a significant commercial breakthrough. The album tackles deeply personal themes of communication breakdown and romantic frustration, famously anchored by the hit single 'Angry Johnny'. Its highly eclectic production successfully bridged the gap between underground electronic textures and mainstream radio rock.
