Album Notes & Community Reviews

Operating distinctly apart from the aggressive thrash of their Crass contemporaries, Vi Subversa's ensemble continued to pioneer a highly sophisticated, cabaret-influenced strain of anarcho-punk. 'Where's the Pleasure' utilizes complex, post-punk rhythms, piano, and violin to deliver biting, fiercely intelligent feminist and anti-establishment lyricism. The independently released record remains a vital, deeply theatrical artifact of the British pacifist punk scene.
