Album Notes & Community Reviews

Executing a radical pivot from her origins as an internet pop-culture satirist, Poppy fully embraces abrasive industrial and alternative metal. The record rapidly juxtaposes crushing guitar riffs with sweet, bubblegum pop choruses, reflecting a narrative of personal empowerment and severing ties with her former creative partner and abuser. Its genre-fluid audacity earned her a historic Grammy nomination in the metal category.
