Las Batallas
by Porter
The band's third LP and second with vocalist David Velasco, 'Las Batallas' (The Battles) is another ambitious conceptual work. A sequel of sorts to 'Moctezuma', the album continues to explore pre-hispanic Mexican history, this time focusing on the Spanish conquest. Musically, it pivots towards a more synth-pop oriented sound, blending electronic textures and melodic hooks with their signature psychedelic atmosphere.
