Album Notes & Community Reviews

The debut full-length from Portrayal of Guilt, 'Let Pain Be Your Guide' is a relentlessly chaotic and abrasive onslaught of extreme music. Clocking in at just over 20 minutes, the album is a masterclass in controlled chaos, blending the emotional intensity of screamo with the speed of powerviolence and the bleak atmosphere of black metal. It's a harrowing and anxious listen, defined by its sheer aggression and a palpable sense of nihilistic dread.
