Album Notes & Community Reviews

Constructed as a loose concept album following a wolf's journey from bloodlust to spiritual enlightenment, 'Lupus Dei' cemented the theatrical power metal sound of Germany's Powerwolf. The recording heavily integrates religious imagery and Latin choruses, elements that would become defining hallmarks of their subsequent discography. It showcases a bombastic, highly energetic blend of traditional heavy riffs and triumphant, occult-themed storytelling.
