Al Wahem

On their 2026 release, Al Wahem (“The Illusion”), PRAED pushes their psychedelic shaabi framework into a state of near-total system collapse. The album is a dense, hyper-collaged exploration of digital phantoms and cultural mirages, where acoustic and electronic sources become indistinguishable. Paed Conca’s skronking clarinet and Raed Yassin’s labyrinthine synth lines engage in a frantic dialogue, often dissolving into granular textures and fractured samples. Anchored by pummeling, distorted drum machines, the production meticulously arranges chaos, creating a schizophrenic soundscape that interrogates authenticity in a post-truth era.
