Sortilège

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On 'Sortilège', producer Preservation constructs a cinematic and eerie sonic landscape, building on his signature style of layering internationally-sourced samples with heavy, often slowed-down boom-bap drums. Rapper Gabe 'Nandez complements this atmospheric production with a dense, multilingual lyrical approach, weaving together themes of mythology, interpersonal strife, and socio-political commentary. The result is a cohesive and textured album that merges Preservation's worldly, unsettling beats with 'Nandez's intricate, philosophical rhymes.
