Carpe Diem, Moonman

Album Notes & Community Reviews

On their seventh studio album 'Carpe Diem, Moonman', the band delivers a dynamic and varied take on their signature psychedelic rock, blending brain-scratching guitar riffs and forceful rhythms with moments of acoustic gentleness and melodic, dream-state passages. The production is noted for its clarity, allowing layers of intricate, fuzzed-out guitars and rubbery basslines to remain distinct while frontman Jack McEwan’s vocals shift from frantic screams to a softer, higher-pitched tone. Lyrically, the album explores themes of societal chaos, existential questioning, and introspection, creating a sound that is both ferociously energetic and thoughtfully textured.
