Album Notes & Community Reviews
Created by Kurt Dahlke (a founding member of D.A.F.), 'Ausland' is a restless, fiercely inventive monument of the Neue Deutsche Welle scene. The album constructs playful, deeply eccentric electronic textures out of rudimentary rhythm boxes, tape splices, and chaotic analog synths, pushing the absolute boundaries of early minimal wave[cite: 1].
