'Inland' serves as the debut solo effort by Kurt Dahlke, a founding member of D.A.F. and Der Plan. The recording pioneers early German synthesizer experiments, blending mechanical rhythms with sparse, minimal electronic textures. The project laid vital groundwork for the emerging Neue Deutsche Welle movement.
