Album Notes & Community Reviews

Facing the immense pressure of following up their massive commercial breakthrough 'Empire', the Seattle quintet retreated to a remote island to record this intensely introspective and somber effort. The album largely abandons traditional heavy metal structures in favor of dense, moody progressive rock, reflecting themes of disillusionment and the psychological toll of fame.
