Album Notes & Community Reviews
Before signing his record deal in 1982, Nakai sold self-recorded cassettes at fairs, artist markets and museums across the Southwest. A classically trained brass player whose trumpet career was ended by an accident, he had turned to the Native American cedar flute, and this debut began a label tenure that has lasted ever since.
