Album Notes & Community Reviews
Continuing the stylistic experiments initiated on his previous works, Burnside's 'Wish I Was in Heaven Sitting Down' overlays raw Hill Country guitar playing with contemporary electronic beats. The production creates an ominous, rhythmic friction between traditional Delta aesthetics and modern turntable techniques. This collision of eras further cemented his late-career resurgence.
