Album Notes & Community Reviews
'Behold Secret Kingdom' is a chaotic and tribal studio album by the short-lived Iowa City noise rock collective Raccoo-oo-oon. The recording perfectly captures the group's fiercely independent, DIY ethos, blending primitive percussion with blown-out psychedelic guitar textures and unhinged vocal chants. It remains a fascinating artifact of the mid-2000s subterranean American noise scene.
