Album Notes & Community Reviews
Hailing from the North East of England, the Unthank sisters utilized striking, dialect-heavy vocal harmonies to reinterpret deeply traditional regional songs on 'The Bairns'. The album frames their bleak, folklore-inspired narratives within sparse, remarkably inventive piano and string arrangements.
