Album Notes & Community Reviews

Reconvening the quartet from his acclaimed 'Solstice' debut, Ralph Towner delivers another masterwork of spacious, deeply textural jazz. Featuring Jan Garbarek's haunting saxophone and Eberhard Weber's distinct electric bass, the acoustic interplay borders on modern classical chamber music. The recording perfectly embodies the atmospheric, introspective aesthetic that came to define European jazz in the 1970s.
