The Argentine-born percussionist, dubbed the Hendrix of the berimbau for his work with Daniela Mercury and Skank, recorded his debut at home and in hotel rooms during tours, layering his berimbau and Afro-Brazilian percussion over programmed electronics. 'Ant么nio das Mortes' sets S茅rgio Ricardo and Othon Bastos's voices from Glauber Rocha's film against Gato Barbieri's tenor saxophone and Lulu Santos's e-bow guitar, while 'Xavantes' and 'Bayaka' build on singers from the Xavante people and Congolese pygmy performers. Musotto described the method as indebted to Talvin Singh and Nan谩 Vasconcelos.
