Album Notes & Community Reviews

Dedicated to the memory of Thelonious Monk鈥檚 daughter, this session pairs the Third Stream pioneer's idiosyncratic piano styling with a tightly responsive quartet. The recording masterfully balances reverent bop structures with dark, angular improvisational departures.
