Album Notes & Community Reviews

Breaking a long period of writer's block, the acclaimed songwriter turned his sardonic lens inward to explore unprecedented autobiographical material. While retaining his biting satirical edge, the record incorporates modern, synthesized production values courtesy of Mark Knopfler and Jeff Lynne, producing an unusually glossy sonic backdrop for his cynical Americana.
