Album Notes & Community Reviews

The critically acclaimed debut from the prolific songwriter introduced a uniquely sardonic, piano-driven voice to the American pop landscape. Characterized by lush, cinematic orchestrations co-arranged with Lenny Waronker, the record highlights his distinctively raspy vocal delivery and sharp, character-based lyrical satire.
