Album Notes & Community Reviews

Named after his older brother who tragically passed away from a heroin overdose, Raphael Saadiq's deeply introspective project directly tackles themes of addiction, family trauma, and incarceration. The progressive soul production masterfully incorporates contemporary funk textures to counterbalance the profound weight of its lyricism.
