Marking the return of guitarist John Frusciante, 'Unlimited Love' is the twelfth studio album from the Red Hot Chili Peppers, also reuniting them with producer Rick Rubin. The extensive recording sessions for this album yielded nearly 50 songs, leading to the subsequent release of a second album, 'Return of the Dream Canteen', later the same year. The album debuted at number one in sixteen countries and was preceded by the lead single 'Black Summer'.
