Album Notes & Community Reviews

Recorded between Richmond Recorders in Melbourne and Pepper Studios in Adelaide, the band's major-label debut carried Redgum's Australian folk rock to a national label audience. The title track recounts William Lane's 1893 New Australia Colony in Paraguay, while 'Women in Change' sets Lesbia Harford's poem 'Periodicity' to music, joining the band's political songwriting to Australian historical subjects.
