Album Notes & Community Reviews

Anchored by Erick Sermon's murky, funk-heavy production, the rapper delivered a defining staple of mid-90s East Coast boom bap. The lyricism balances aggressive, boastful technicality with an off-kilter, weed-infused humor. It is widely considered a creative peak within his discography, solidifying his reputation as an elite MC in the Def Squad collective.
