Album Notes & Community Reviews

Spektor's major-label debut showcases her eccentric vocal gymnastics and virtuosic piano playing. 'Soviet Kitsch' blends the DIY spirit of New York's anti-folk scene with more ambitious orchestral flourishes. Her lyrics are by turns hilarious and heart-wrenching, making her one of the era's most distinctive songwriters.
