Album Notes & Community Reviews

Teaming two of Belgium's greatest jazz exports, guitarist Ren茅 Thomas and saxophonist Bobby Jaspar lead a sophisticated session recorded shortly before Jaspar's untimely death. The quintet beautifully integrates the relaxed lyricism of cool jazz with the driving rhythms of hard bop, demonstrating a mastery of the American idiom. It stands as a vital testament to the high caliber of early 1960s European jazz musicianship.
