W/ the Artists

Album Notes & Community Reviews

Assembled from a series of Burial Mix 10-inch singles, 'W/ the Artists' showcases Berlin electronic pioneers Moritz von Oswald and Mark Ernestus steering their Rhythm & Sound project toward traditional reggae songcraft. The album pairs their signature minimal, bass-heavy, and atmospheric dub techno production with a roster of legendary Jamaican vocalists including Cornell Campbell, Jennifer Lara, and Paul St. Hilaire. This collection serves as a crucial document, bridging the duo's influential minimalist sound with the foundational vocal traditions of roots reggae and dub.
