Album Notes & Community Reviews

Former Caetano Veloso collaborator Ricardo Dias Gomes creates a fascinatingly abstract interpretation of modern MPB on his solo effort. 'Muito sol' submerges Brazilian folk traditions beneath layers of woozy post-rock, minimalistic drones, and surreal synthesizer textures. It is a highly experimental, deeply hypnotic album that constantly subverts listener expectations regarding acoustic songwriting.
