Rhizosphere

Stepping away from his work with the influential group Heldon, the French synthesist crafts a cold, starkly futuristic solo debut. Heavily utilizing the Moog synthesizer and tape echo, the album aligns closely with the pulsing, sequencer-heavy methodologies of German electronic pioneers like Tangerine Dream. The title track, taking up the entire second side, is a monumental exercise in creeping, cybernetic minimalism.
