Album Notes & Community Reviews
Expanding upon his self-coined "punk funk" style, 'Bustin' Out of L Seven' is characterized by prominent synthesized basslines and remarkably tight horn arrangements. The extended dance grooves positioned James at the absolute forefront of late-seventies experimental R&B.
