Album Notes & Community Reviews

Stepping back from the high-octane 'punk funk' that defined his earlier massive hits, Rick James delivered a much smoother, heavily orchestrated R&B project with 'Garden of Love'. The album focuses heavily on sweeping ballads and lush, romantic disco grooves. While not a massive commercial blockbuster, it demonstrated his impressive range as a producer and arranger.
